Here's the first card we made at class this week....

I just love the beautiful fall colors on this card!
We start with a Crushed Curry Card base, then added a layer of Cajun Craze card stock (4 x 5 1/4), followed by a layer of Whisper White card stock (3 3/4 x 5).
We used the awesome new stamp set, For All Things, to stamp the sentiment, "Give Thanks for All Things" and the Wheat Stalk (in Cajun Craze ink) and the water marks (in Crushed Curry ink). Then, we added a couple of strips of the Color Me Autumn Washi Tape below the watermarks.
Next, we used our new Fall Fest Stamp Set and Fun Fall Framelits to stamp the pumpkins (in Tangelo Twist ink) and tiny leaves (in Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow ink). This stamp set and framelits are bundled together for a 15% savings on both items - whooo hoooo!!
Now, for a cool idea.... we used a 10" strip of Burlap Ribbon to make the bow on the pumpkin - just cut along the inside of one of the seams of the burlap, then start peeling back the layers that are woven together to make the burlap - it gives you a great textured type of linen thread (can you see the texture on the bow??). We put two strings together and tied them in a bow. These burlap strings also have a little more body to them than our regular linen thread (and I just love that added texture!).
